The Importance of Weather & Forecast for Pilots~
For ordinary person & in our daily basis life, ongoing processes does not stop whether the the sun is 50 Celsius or its -30 in cities likes Toronto is in winter but weather play vital roles in aviation as mother nature’s role with abundance~
Think if there is no Wind, how a plane is going to fly! And if there is a lot of wind, how plane going to fly! Wind, Clouds, thunderstorms and much more get detailed on benches when it comes to fly an aircraft in the blue sky. So far drone operations are permitted only day time due to safety factors, never know when government will pass regulations to fly an aircraft in the middle of night & get delivered a nice & chilled beer on top of house roof as a regular consumer. In such a case of flying after day time i.e. night or say dark time, if there is raining of clouds the aircraft should able to hold the impact of harsh weather putting in simple words that the drone must be water proof to sustain flight in rainy weather.
On planet Earth that is our mother land; the atmosphere have air thin enough that makes chunks of air blocks kind of invisible air boxes plunge together even when blowing in a direction, when an aircraft fly the propellers throw those chunks in opposite direction and pushing aircraft to move onto next chunks that creates a momentum and keeps continuing as per its been powered by motors and being control by Remote Ground Control Station or a Pilot. Now, remaining on air chunks, what if it is raining! Sure the invisible air boxes keeps falling that is why it is not only hard but certainly creates dangerous flight operations that could end up with bad results that Pilots especially do not want to face.
Let’s take another example apart from rain; if wind blowing with 20 Km/h in opposite speed of flying aircraft, in order to achieve distant goal this aircraft have to gush 40% more extra energy in order to remain on same given mission. Pilot on other hand will consider the battery/fuel is build to make round trip within 20mins but in actual case the aircraft have burnt more fuel than it was calculated hence it is very important to understand how to improve flying efficiency with wind in flying direction. Wind in the directions called Headwind or Tail wind that makes itself clear if an aircraft is facing wind in opposite direction that’s called headwind that ultimately will pull aircraft towards its direction.
