Fly High~ Drone Pilot Training

If you get chance to live or pass sometime nearby an airport where you can just hear the noise but can not visually see an aircraft flying nearby, it gives an extra ordinary experience to aviation lovers.

As a Drone Pilot and Instructor working on Air-side of class B airport gives privileges  to view closely each aircraft in detail but actually you don’t observe the flight characteristics on airport itself while an aircraft is parked on terminal. The actual show starts from runway when pilot goes through pre-flight checklist and checks all aspects of the aircraft like engines full thrust, system controls and safety etc and upon tower clearance all you see is live character of aircraft itself how it performs. Something you can point out like when you hear small single engine aircraft, you would say strong positive that it is Cessna Grand Caravan and it is a FedEx cargo plane at this time of morning schedule of flights or when you hear multi engine like Dash 400 Bombardier or say jet plane quickly took off and gaining altitude at very high speed you can definitely make idea about Boeing 737 Series or another one could be 777 or an Airbus that you can recognize with engine turbine sound.

Let’s get little closer, the idea to understand the characteristics flying aircraft and identifying the type of it. The very first things the sound of engines itself, how loud  & thrashing sound of aircraft is tells you how big it can be and for me sometimes it can be type of engine itself like Boeing, Airbus or may be Pratt & Whitney. Next it comes to time elapse of passing through that gives an idea of climbing rate that aircraft I.e. how fast & slow it is climbing, the bigger or heavier the plane is, the longer & steady climb it will achieve in order to fly safely. Talking about small little private jets, not much can be analyzed from sound or visual itself or may be you can guess Cessna Citation or may be Pilatus on next guess.
